It is not being “anti-Arab” to be “anti-Muslim”. The Koran’s fundamental teaching is one of absolute and unbending intolerance, anti-equality and anti-diversity. You don’t sign up to be a Muslim and IGNORE all of that, because it is a major cornerstone of the Koran and Islamic teaching.
Right now in our country, there is the most ignorant false narrative being commonly spewed by many high profile members of both the progressive media and politics, which is to accuse others of being “racist” or “bigots” for exposing the commonly hateful and intolerant teachings of the Koran for what they are. This ironic ignorant narrative seeks to accuse others of not supporting “diversity” in our culture if they simply shine a spotlight of truth on the absolute cause and effect between the violent teachings of the Koran and ALL radical Islamic terrorism.
This is of course absurd, because the ONE thing we as Americans need to be intolerant of is intolerance itself. And much of the Koran, (not unlike much of the Bible admittedly) teaches and advocates AGAINST diversity, and calls for “holy jihad” in the name of Allah (God).
This ridiculous popular narrative I am speaking of that we are currently hearing more and more, goes even further in its ludicrous effort to say that all the acts of terrorism we are seeing (or have seen) that have been committed by groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS have ZERO CONNECTION to mainstream Islam as a whole.
You heard me right…there is a group neurosis of a sort, growing within the ranks of mostly progressive liberals, who are apparently more concerned about hurting Muslims’ feelings than honoring the truth behind why these Islamic extremists are using such horrendous terror tactics more and more both against the West and against other innocents in the Middle East and around the world. To say these terrorist acts and beheadings are most often NOT related to the teachings of Islam is like saying male fans of Kim Kardashian have NO INTEREST in the shape of her backside. Even Charlie Rose recently addressed this matter on his talk show on PBS (No, sorry…not the Kardashian issue).
He gave a rare and personal editorial opinion on his program, in which he stated that he was convinced the reason the Obama administration did not send a higher profile member to the large freedom march in France after the recent terror attacks was solely because the Obama administration is caught up in this very narrative I am describing. Charlie specifically said he is convinced that the Obama administration avoided the event because it does not want to believe, or at least does not want to admit that we are suffering from a violent “clash of civilizations” that is feeding an ever growing war against the West by Islam.
If anyone tries to tell you that Islam is a religion of peace, it is OK to laugh, because they are lying to you. What I find so amazing is that not only Muslims, but also Christians and Jews always cherry pick the verses and “scriptures” they love to promote, while ignoring the vast majority of the fundamental content of the Bible and the Koran that is non-stop hate-speak and ANTI-DIVERSITY. Both the Bible and the Koran are replete with constant teachings of intolerance and condemnation toward all other faiths and cultures who don’t convert.
Right now at least, Christians aren’t currently engaging in the kind of mass killing in the name of God that radical Muslims are engaging in. Accordingly, we need to focus on who is currently engaging in such violent insanity in the name of God and call it what it is. To shine a spotlight of truth on Islam’s fundamental teachings that influence and contribute to such acts is not being “racist”. We are not being intolerant toward Arabs when we expose Islamic teachings of the Koran for the often hateful beliefs they teach. There are many, many Arabs who don’t adhere to the teachings of the Koran.
This leads me to a huge HOWEVER…A recent PEW Research poll shows the following:
“About eight-in-ten Muslims in Egypt and Pakistan (82% each) endorse the stoning of people who commit adultery; 70% of Muslims in Jordan and 56% of Nigerian Muslims share this view. Muslims in Pakistan and Egypt are also the most supportive of whippings and cutting off of hands for crimes like theft and robbery; 82% in Pakistan and 77% in Egypt favor making this type of punishment the law in their countries, as do 65% of Muslims in Nigeria and 58% in Jordan.”
That leads me to a huge IN ADDITION…The same Pew research poll also reveals the following revealing truth if there was any doubt we are experiencing a severe and violent “clash of civilizations” with Islamic fundamental teaching:
“When asked about the death penalty for those who leave the Muslim religion, at least three-quarters of Muslims in Jordan (86%), Egypt (84%) and Pakistan (76%) say they would favor making it the law; in Nigeria, 51% of Muslims favor and 46% oppose it.” Here is the link so you can check out the entire Pew research report(but please don’t forget to come back and finish my article): http://www.pewglobal.org/…/muslims-around-the-world-divide…/
What one must remember is that even though opinions in the Muslim world population regarding Al Qaeda and suicide bombings are consistently more and more negative than they used to be, the fundamental INTOLERANCE toward all other religions which is inherent in their beliefs as routinely taught by the Koran are unchanged. All Muslims are taught by the Koran that their “Great Commission” from Allah is to ultimately create Islam as the one world religion, whether by peace preferably, or when necessary by war and genocide. And it is this intolerance throughout the Koran that is the fuel, and will continue to be the fuel of terrorist acts by growing numbers of their “radical” members.
What is conspicuous in its absence is the lack of an obvious, loud, strong and constant outcry in the streets and on the media by the majority of Muslims in the West and abroad, like you would definitely see in the present day Christian community, should for example, suddenly the Baptist church starts taking off people’s heads in the name of God, or more realistically starts snuffing abortion doctors AGAIN.
If Baptists and Pentecostals became the radical Islamic equivalent of ISIS and Al Qaeda, Christians would be all over the place nonstop, in the media and in the streets, marching and making it clear they did NOT support such behavior (Though in the interest of full disclosure, and because of many similar teachings found in the “scriptures” of the Bible, Christians HAVE supported such behavior in many different time periods in history, some not so distant).
Yes, I know there are a handful of Muslim clerics who occasionally go on record speaking out against the terrorist acts of their radical members, as some did in response to the recent acts of terror in France. But there can be no denying that mainstream Islam overall is strangely reticent on letting the world see them calling such terrorist acts in the name of Islam an abomination.
How often do you see such a loud outcry from mainstream Islam as a whole, condemning such terror attacks in the news or even on the internet? You see small pockets of it on the internet, and even smaller pockets of such outcries in the news media. That is because in the big picture, such outcries are oddly rare.
Part of the unreported reason for this is that deep down, a majority of Muslims believe what the Koran teaches about Allah expecting them to eventually force a worldwide Islamic caliphate. The Koran commonly and repeatedly teaches that violence will be required and is encouraged in the interest of creating a worldwide Muslim theocracy under Shariah Law. There is no denying the truth of this, as it is a fundamental teaching of the Koran.
Does that equate to a religion of “tolerance, diversity and peace”? OF COURSE NOT! Am I a racist for pointing that out. OF COURSE NOT!
Our American progressive values of embracing freedom, equality and diversity for ALL certainly DO NOT require that we embrace those whose very beliefs are ANTI-equality and ANTI-diversity. Progressives are living in a fairyland if they think the fundamental teachings of Islam reflect “diversity” and “equality”. There is no religious teaching on earth that is more demeaning and destructive toward its female members than Islam, again as taught incessantly in the Koran.
Show me ONE terrorist act of Al Qaeda, ISIS or the Taliban that is NOT fueled by Islamic “Sharia Law” and the worldwide “Islamic caliphate” fundamental teachings of the Koran, and I promise I’ll join you and start believing in unicorns too.
