“Who you callin’ a PUPPET??”
We’ll get to Oscar the Grouch’s final Presidential debate rebuttal momentarily…But to begin, when the first in a growing list of women recently went public to share that Donald Trump had repeatedly groped her while on an airline flight many years ago, how does he respond? Does he do so respectfully?
Absolutely not…His response is to attack her appearance with heavy denigrating sarcasm: “Look at her”…then turning up the sarcasm another notch adding, “I don’t think so!”…Then about a second woman who came forward, he continued in the same fashion attacking her appearance by saying: “I can tell you she would not be my first choice!”
Ironically, this ugly and demeaning response in a nutshell, kind of says it all about Donald Trump. This kind of statement completely belies his vulgar, womanizing low character that he just can’t hide. Anyone with an ounce of good character…Anyone with even a molecule of “Presidential” temperament, when dealing with such accusations from multiple women, at the very least would NEVER respond by putting down their appearance and disparaging their ‘looks’.
The truth is, they are beautiful women. Beauty is not defined by the pretentious standards of a ‘beauty pageant’ owner or the shallow, artificial stereotypical image constantly reinforced in the media.
But Trump, responding to the woman who has described the groping incident by him when they were seated next to each other in first class on a plane, wants us to trust his claims that he respects women, and that he would never do what he specifically bragged about OFTEN doing to women on the Access Hollywood bus tape, and yet his response is to say:
‘Take a look, LOOK AT HER…look at her words and then tell me if you believe it’. Then eventually adding, ‘Believe me, she would not have been my first choice!’ And that comment was actually met with approving LAUGHTER from his supporters. But all this does is showcase his demeaning, denigrating view of women more sharply and effectively.
And what is even more disturbing goes way beyond Trump’s own degenerate behavior and lies. Trump is nothing if not an obvious ‘reality show’ master manipulator, running a reality show Presidential campaign. (The Fox Network is considering picking it up for a pilot season next year under the working title: “Ku Klux Klan Has Talent”)
And as obvious as that is, what is much more disturbing is the APPEAL that he has to a large number of Conservative voters in our country, despite his on the record bragging of sexually assaulting women, caught on a ‘hot mic’ recording during a 2005 Access Hollywood interview where he boasted with impunity that he can kiss and “grab ’em by the pussy” at will because of his star status…
Despite his well known statement early in his candidacy that he doesn’t consider Senator John McCain a war hero because he prefers soldiers who “don’t get caught”…
Trump received multiple draft deferments, while Senator McCain was a fighter pilot in the Vietnam War. Senator McCain was flying a mission over Hanoi in 1967 when his fighter jet was shot down, and he was captured by the North Vietnamese. He was subsequently tortured for 6 years in a prisoner of war camp, fortunately being released near the end of the war in 1973. (It doesn’t get any more low character for someone to know that Trump said such a thing about a wounded prisoner of war, and STILL think he deserves to be elected to our country’s highest office…it takes a deplorable character to know facts like these and continue to support him)…Back to the deplorable list…
Despite his refusal to reveal his IRS tax filings to date, which no candidate for President has ever refused to do, and despite his well known history of filing for bankruptcy several times as a self proclaimed winner and “successful businessman”…
Despite his fake “Trump University” that was forced to shut down after it was investigated for scamming and defrauding its “students” of millions of dollars, many of whom were senior citizens(http://www.newyorker.com/news/john-cassidy/trump-university-its-worse-than-you-think)…
Despite his repeated and odd praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin as being a talented, great leader…
Despite multiple reports and investigations linking his Trump Casino and wealth building to connections with members of organized crime, as reported by this story from Politico’s David Cay Johnston from May 22nd of this year entitled “Just What Were Donald Trump Ties to the Mob” (http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/05/donald-trump-2016-mob-organized-crime-213910)
Just a couple of excerpt quotes from Johnston in the article:
“The picture shows that Trump’s career has benefited from a decades-long and largely successful effort to limit and deflect law enforcement investigations into his dealings with top mobsters, organized crime associates, labor fixers, corrupt union leaders, con artists and even a one-time drug trafficker whom Trump retained as the head of his personal helicopter service”…
“What emerges is a pattern of business dealings with mob figures—not only local figures, but even the son of a reputed Russian mob boss whom Trump had at his side at a gala Trump hotel opening, but has since claimed under oath he barely knows.”
Back to the deplorable list…
Despite his endless list of racist and/or racially charged comments, such as his denigrating Mexican immigrants as being mostly ‘rapists and felons’ and he assumes maybe ‘some’ are good people…
Despite his deliberate mocking immitation of a handicapped New York Times reporter, jokingly ridiculing his appearance…
Despite his widely reported statement saying that his daughter is so hot, if she weren’t his daughter he’d be dating her…And his recorded agreement on “The Howard Stern Show”, in reply to Stern’s exclaiming that his daughter is a “piece of ass”…
Despite a constant campaign of degenerate, low character vulgarity, what is much more disturbing is how many low character Americans it APPEALS to…including people like Jerry Falwell Jr., President of the Christian evangelical “Liberty University” and many other religious leaders.
Falwell recently was interviewed on CNN, and repeatedly saying that the things Trump was heard saying in that Access Hollywood tape were inconsequential and irrelevant, adding that ‘we are not electing a pastor’.
There is no excuse for such egregious hypocrisy from religious leaders. This is why I write so often about the fraudulent origin and teachings of organized religion, and how they have everything to do with their own man-made con artistry and bigoted manipulation, and ZERO to do with real spiritual truth and understanding.
Trump is playing his supporters like an instrument…I would say like a drum, but a more accurate metaphor would be, he’s playing them like a ‘garbage can lid’. Yet, even OSCAR THE GROUCH would call Trump out for the national embarrassment that he is…
